Titanium Dioxide, also known as Ti02 is a fine white powder obtained by transformation of mineral compounds extracted from rocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Titanium Dioxide is used in a plethora of skincare products such as pressed powders, loose powders and sunscreens as a sun filter or whitening agent. It was originally produced to use a white pigment back in 1923.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to The International Agency for Research on Cancer, studies have shown an increase in lung cancers due to inhalation exposure in animals from Titanium Dioxide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Ti02 does not pose a threat to human health from skin exposure, however the concern for human health rises when titanium dioxide is inhaled or respirable.
